Notes about Yma Sumac from booklet:
Track 4: Yma Sumac with Moises Vivanco and His Peruvians
Chuncho (The Forest Creatures) - guitar with native Peruvian wind and rhythm instruments

Yma Sumac's startling four-octave voice is shown off on this track in full range, as are echo chamber effects which make her sound as if she were singing, at times, from the deepest of Peruvian caves.  The track is full of unusual sounds; the trick is to tell which ones are vocal and which are not.  One fantastic effect - fantastic because it is not a recording trick - occurs near the end during a high trill in which the two notes sung are suddenly separated, the voice moving almost incredibly in two directions at the same time.
