Música de Siempre

catalog no: vhs 0023
This musical extravaganza interspersed with comedy nonsense and no real storyline or plot has one song by Yma Sumac where she is seen strolling through the forest singing to the birds (yes, real ones - see photo) while lip-syncing to her 1953 Inca Taqui recording of Chuncho.  Directed by Tito Davison and featuring an all-star cast of singers, dancers, actors and novelty acts.  Besides Yma's piece which comes near the end, there is lots of other singing, dancing and surreal scenography and choreography by the likes of Edith Piaf (singing La Vie En Rose both in French and in Spanish), Amalia Rodrigues along with many others.
