Music Around the World

catalog no: JOM-1027-8
Rare live performance from New York's Town Hall. Although the original show program listed several songs that Yma Sumac did not actually perform, the selections here otherwise follow the program closely. Recorded on March 22nd and 23rd, 1975, this unmastered recording puts the best of each performance together for archival purposes but is not available commercially. Yma Sumac is accompanied both by orchestra and piano by Marco Rizo (originally from Cuba), a prominent concert pianist who wrote the I Love Lucy theme song and many others.
