- Hi David! Thanks for your posting! Actually, impersonators have been doing Yma Sumac for years but I'm glad you are doing her too! I would love to see a photo. It is often said that she is a parody of herself. Take a look at the video of "Wigstock The Movie," where one of Yma's Mambo tunes is used. Though not a true impersonation as such, it is close enough!
